BrotherStrong Weekly Encouragement and Prayer
Healthy Black Man Challenge Week 12
Focus: Healthy Self, Healing and Letting Go
Week of March 23, 2026
Theme: "Release What You Cannot Carry Forward."
Weekly Encouragement
Brother,
You cannot carry everything into your next season.
Some of what you are holding onto is not strength. It is weight.
Old pain. Past mistakes. Broken relationships. Unspoken disappointment. Guilt. Anger. Regret.
At some point, every man has to decide. Will I keep carrying this, or will I finally release it?
Letting go does not mean it did not happen. It means it will no longer control you.
Healing requires honesty. Letting go requires courage.
You are not meant to relive the same pain in every season of your life. You are meant to grow beyond it.
This week is about release. Release what hurt you. Release what shaped you in the wrong way. Release what is keeping you from becoming who you are called to be.
You are not your past. You are your decision to move forward.
Weekly Prayer
God,
We come to You carrying things we were never meant to hold this long.
You see the pain we never talked about. The disappointment we buried. The anger we tried to manage. The regret we replay in our minds.
Today we ask for the strength to release it.
Help us to forgive where it feels impossible. Help us to let go of what we cannot change. Help us to stop punishing ourselves for who we used to be.
Heal our hearts. Renew our minds. Free our spirits.
Let this be the moment where we stop carrying yesterday into tomorrow.
Amen.
Weekly Activation: Release and Reset
Mind: Write down one thing you need to let go of. Be honest. Name it clearly.
Soul: Have one honest conversation or moment of reflection where you acknowledge what you have been holding in.
Spirit: Pray specifically for the strength to release it. Say it out loud. Let it go intentionally.
Bonus Action: Do something symbolic this week. Tear the paper. Throw it away. Walk away from a space. Mark the moment.
Reflection Question: What am I finally ready to release so I can move forward?

A Word to Black Women Reading This
Letting go is one of the hardest things a man can do.
Many Black men have carried pain for years without ever speaking it. They have learned to function while hurting, to provide while wounded, to lead while still trying to heal.
Your encouragement can help create space for that healing.
We invite you to continue standing with us by sharing the Healthy Black Man Challenge each week with every Black man you know.
Share it with your sons. Share it with your husband or partner. Share it with your father. Share it with your brothers and friends.
Encourage them to take this step. Encourage them to release what they have been carrying.
Also remind them to register for the BrotherStrong Black Men's Empowerment Conference.
The conference is absolutely FREE. Registration is mandatory. Friday night and Saturday afternoon sessions are open to women. Saturday morning is reserved for men only.
This is an opportunity for growth, healing, and transformation, with powerful insight from Dr. Joel Tudman and Anthony O'Neal.
When you share this message, you are helping a man release pain and step into purpose.
Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for sharing each week. Thank you for believing in healing for Black men.
Until all have been touched... keep reaching!
