BrotherStrong Weekly Encouragement and Prayer
Healthy Black Man Challenge Week 20
Focus: Healthy Self, Purpose, Responsibility and Legacy
Week of May 18, 2026
Theme: "Live Beyond Yourself"
Weekly Encouragement
Brother,
A healthy man eventually realizes that life is bigger than him.
Your choices matter. Your words matter. Your discipline matters.
Not only for you, but for everyone connected to you.
Purpose is not simply about success. It is about impact.
Legacy is not what people say about you after you are gone. It is what your life deposits into others while you are here.
Every healthy decision you make matters. Every lesson you teach matters. Every example you set matters.
Someone is watching how you respond to pressure. Someone is learning from how you love. Someone is becoming because of what you model.
This week, we challenge you to think beyond today. Beyond yourself. Beyond comfort.
What kind of man are you becoming? And what kind of legacy are you building?
Healthy men do not only live for themselves. They live with purpose and responsibility.
Weekly Prayer
God,
Thank You for reminding us that our lives have purpose.
Help us to live intentionally and responsibly. Teach us to think beyond temporary desires and focus on lasting impact.
Give us wisdom to lead well. Give us discipline to stay aligned with our values. Give us strength to be examples in our homes, workplaces, and communities.
Let our lives leave evidence of growth, integrity, compassion, and purpose.
Help us to build legacies that honor You and uplift others.
Amen.
Weekly Activation: Build With Intention
Mind: Write down the type of legacy you want to leave behind in your family and community.
Body: Do one healthy action this week that demonstrates long term thinking instead of short term comfort.
Spirit: Pray specifically for wisdom to live a life that positively impacts others.
Legacy Question: What am I building with my daily choices?
Thank You, Fayetteville
We want to sincerely thank everyone who joined us for the AsONE Prayer Walk this past Saturday at Festival Park in downtown Fayetteville.
Thank you to every volunteer. Thank you to every pastor and ministry leader. Thank you to every family, organization, and community member who walked, prayed, and stood together in unity.
What we experienced was powerful.
In a time when division often gets the attention, we witnessed unity, faith, healing, and hope.
Thank you for helping make this movement meaningful and impactful for our city and our community.
Weekly Affirmation
"I live with purpose. I lead with responsibility. I am building a meaningful legacy."
A Word to Black Women Reading This
Purpose and legacy matter.
The healthy growth of Black men impacts families, children, relationships, and entire communities. Encouragement from you can help remind men that their lives carry weight and influence far beyond themselves.
We invite you to continue sharing the Healthy Black Man Challenge each week with every Black man you know.
Encourage him to think beyond survival. Encourage him to lead intentionally. Encourage him to build a meaningful legacy.
We also want to thank every woman who attended, supported, volunteered, prayed, and participated in the AsONE Prayer Walk this past Saturday.
Your presence mattered. Your support mattered. Your prayers mattered.
When you continue to share this message, you help strengthen men who are striving to grow mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for sharing each week. Thank you for believing in the continued growth and healing of Black men.
Until all have been touched... keep reaching!
Jeremy
