BrotherStrong Weekly Encouragement and Prayer
Healthy Black Man Challenge Week 29
Focus: Healthy Self, Living With Integrity
Week of July 20, 2026
Theme: "Who Are You When No One Is Watching?"
Weekly Encouragement
Brother,
Character is revealed in private long before it is recognized in public.
Integrity is not about being perfect.
It is about being consistent.
It is choosing to do the right thing when there is no applause.
It is keeping your word when breaking it would be easier.
It is admitting when you are wrong.
It is apologizing without making excuses.
It is honoring your commitments, even when they become inconvenient.
As Black men, there are people watching us every day.
Our children. Our spouses. Our friends. Our coworkers. Our communities.
But the most important person watching is the man in the mirror.
Can you trust him?
Can he trust you?
Every promise you keep to yourself builds confidence.
Every promise you break weakens it.
This week, challenge yourself to become the kind of man whose private life matches his public life.
Your reputation is what people think about you.
Your integrity is who you really are.
Build your life on integrity, and your reputation will take care of itself.
Weekly Prayer
God,
Thank You for calling us to live with integrity.
Help us become men whose character is consistent in every environment.
Give us the courage to do what is right, even when no one else knows.
Help us to keep our word, honor our commitments, and live with honesty.
When we fall short, give us the humility to admit it and the strength to make it right.
May our lives reflect the values we profess.
May our actions match our words.
Make us men of integrity.
Amen.
Weekly Activation: Keep Your Word
Mind: Think about one promise you have made to yourself that you have not kept. Recommit to it this week.
Body: Honor one commitment you have been postponing regarding your health.
Spirit: Spend time praying Psalm 15 or Proverbs 10. Reflect on what it means to live with integrity.
Reflection Question: If someone followed me for one week, what would they learn about my character?
The Journey Continues
Healthy men understand that success without integrity is failure in disguise.
Continue building your life on truth.
Continue building your life on discipline.
Continue building your life on character.
The man you are becoming is built one decision at a time.
Weekly Affirmation
"I am a man of integrity. My actions match my words. I honor my commitments to God, to others, and to myself."
A Word to Black Women Reading This
One of the greatest qualities a man can possess is integrity.
Not perfection.
Integrity.
A man who keeps his word.
A man who admits his mistakes.
A man who chooses honesty over image.
When you see those qualities developing in the Black men in your life, encourage them.
Growth flourishes where it is recognized.
We invite you to continue sharing the Healthy Black Man Challenge each week with every Black man you know.
Encourage him to become a man whose private life reflects his public values.
Encourage him to keep growing.
Encourage him to keep becoming.
Please continue sharing this challenge with your sons, your husband or partner, your father, your brothers, your coworkers, and your friends.
Every week another man joins this journey.
Every week another life is impacted.
Thank you for believing in the potential of Black men.
Thank you for praying for Black men.
Thank you for continuing to walk alongside us.
Weekly Challenge for Women
This week, acknowledge the integrity of a Black man in your life.
Tell him about a moment when his honesty, character, consistency, or faithfulness made a difference.
Sometimes men hear criticism so often that they forget someone notices when they are doing things right.
Your words may strengthen his commitment to continue growing.
Closing Reflection
Brother,
Your legacy will not be built by your greatest achievement.
It will be built by your daily character.
Be the same man in private that you strive to be in public.
Because at the end of the day, the man in the mirror always knows the truth.
Live in such a way that he can respect the man looking back.
Until all have been touched... keep reaching!
Jeremy
